Great surprise and fun to see you in Key West! If you travel near St. Augustine, there's a great campground near Butler / Crescent Beach south of the city along A1A. Do you need a place to stay in the Jacksonville area? All the best on your journey.

Hey Brent - looks like you are making great time. You're almost through Texas! I bet you've enjoyed the flat roads. So, you're real close to New Braunfels. I once had a corn dog there. So, if Texas is full of cowboys and you saw goats...did you see any goatboys?

Brent, We sure enjoyed your visit. Bev and I are at Stephanies in San Jose. Looks like you have some desolate riding. There are some parks in Palo verde and Blythe. The desert nights can be cold so take care. Our prayers for a safe journey are with you.

It was great to meet you over Thanksgiving at bob's house. We always enjoy meeting family. The Sonora desert is one of my favorite places. This time of year, it has beautiful light, sunrises and sunsets. Stay warm!

I used to enjoy visits to Solvang. 30 years ago there was an interesting Christian Community next door to the mission east of Solvang, Santa Ynez.

Hey Brent... We are back in Brooklyn, The kids are back in school and South Dakota seems a long way away. We were finally reminiscing about our trip over dinner, and everyone first question was "How is Brent doing... has anyone written. So, we looked and it is amazing!!! You are well into the left coast. No post for a few days so I thought I would send you one to give you something to read as you stay in those small but beautiful mountain towns of WA. You only have a few more days of this and then you will have to put up with those beautiful coastal views of WA, OR, and CA. It is a tuff life but someone has to do it. Safe Travel. LRE/SME

Hi Brent. You must have a tailwind as you are really moving across the country. From your route it looks like you might be going through Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. I hope so as that is a beautiful view when you first see that lake. Good luck and have fun.

Brett - I love seeing your pix and following you through my home state, NC. Appalachian State and Boone - what wonderful memories from years ago! The high country is beautiful!
