Stopping for groceries, looks like a dinner of beef jerky, Nutella, bread and Gatorade mix. Yum. We need to bring a stove next time. Also we have learned that we don't have enough space. More bags that are not as full next time. We could pack a few extra lbs too.

Got in at 1:30. Easy day not too many hills. Met some rad Germans who are riding from Canada to Mexico in two months. They are taking it easy and slow they said. They gave us their contact info an told us to visit. They are riding a tandem where the lady was up front and in a recumbent position. Visualize a Comanche helicopter but pedal powered.

All packed and ready to go. Katy already misplaced her gloves but she has a spare. Hopefully we already packed them somewhere and they turn up later. The bike has been riding really well lately so it should be a smooth ride with out to many mech problems. Time to break the bike down and get it ready for the drive up the coast.

Follow us as we ride from Eureka to San Fran. With bad knees, bad backs, and too much of that "I'm sure we will do just fine if we just take it slow" attitude we should be home in about 7 to 8 days. If you can make it we are planning a party on Monday to celebrate both making it home and my 27th birthday.
I'll do my best to up load good funny photos. See you in Menlo Park!

Tomorrow is our longest day. 65 or so miles. We skipped a day and turned two short rest days in to one longer day with some crazy steep switchbacks. We picked some calzones that really needed some sauce (kinda dry), and ate them on the beach. Tomorrow holds some long long climbs and more of the amazing views. It's neat a lot of the beaches are white so the water is a tropical blue some times.

Have a great trip! I have been thinking about the trip, sights, and good people you might meet. I will visualize good vibes ahead to give some views, less fog, and sunshine.
